RELAY FOR LIFE SPRING 2014
Date: Friday, April 4th, 2014
What is Relay? It is a community based fundraising event of the American Cancer Society. Today, more than 5,000 Relay For Life events take place across twenty countries. Events are held in local communities, campus universities, and in virtual worlds. Relay For Life teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track or path at a local high school, park, or fairground. Events are up to 24 hours long, and because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times.
Note: This event is worth 4 points. We HIGHLY recommend you to take part in this event if you are a freshman or sophomore and are trying to join the eboard for Biosociety next year. Most, if not all, of our current eboard members will take part in this event and so it is a great way for you to meet them at this event as they will be the ones voting for future board members. We will talk more about this in one of our meetings before the event but make sure to register now and please donate!
